Gothenburg ∙ Sweden ∙ June 24 - 26, 2015
On behalf of the European Association of Cardiothoracic Anaesthesiology (EACTA), we are delighted to announce that the Annual Congress in 2015 will take place from June 24-26, 2015 in Gothenburg, Sweden. ‘Organ dysfunction in cardiothoracic and vascular anaesthesia and critical care’ will be the theme of the meeting which will focus on the causes, prevention and treatment of adverse outcomes that are associated with cardiothoracic and vascular surgery and anaesthesia.
Lectures and presentations delivered by renowned speakers will be complemented by scientific and educational workshops in the fields of cardiothoracic and vascular anaesthesia and critical care. The scientific programme for the meeting will be of great interest to cardiothoracic and vascular anaesthesiologists and intensivists as well as colleagues in related specialities including surgery, nursing and perfusion. In addition, the meeting will be conducted in a friendly and informal atmosphere so as to give you an overall positive and enriching experience.
Gothenburg, which is the second largest city in Sweden, is hosting EACTA for the first time. Gothenburg has a large industrial sector, including companies like Volvo and Astra-Zeneca, two universities with one Nobel Prize winner in medicine 2000. The venue for the meeting is centrally located in Gothenburg and has a large in-house hotel with several others nearby. There are many cultural attractions, restaurants and high quality shopping within walking distance of the venue. In June, because of the long daylight hours in Sweden, you will be able to enjoy spectacular evenings. Moreover, you can also discover the archipelago lying off the west coast of Sweden that is at its most beautiful in June.
We invite you to attend and to participate in all parts of the first EACTA Congress in Sweden. Furthermore, it is a wonderful opportunity to visit northern Europe in its most beautiful season of the year. Please note the dates of the Annual Congress in your diary and start making your travel plans for your visit to Gothenburg in June 2015.
We look forward to seeing you here in Gothenburg.
