Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the European Association of Cardiothoracic Anaesthesiology (EACTA), we are delighted to announce that the Echo meeting in 2017 will take place in the city of Valencia from September 30th to October 3rd.

The aim of the meeting is to provide outstanding scientific and educational content focused on echocardiography in cardiovascular anaesthesia. The program will address the theoretical and practical aspects of echocardiography and this forthcoming edition will specially emphasize the importance of 3D echo assessment in cardiovascular surgery and cardiac percutaneous procedures.
Lectures will be held by notable speakers and will be complimented by scientific and educational workshops. The workshops will address the most challenging clinical aspects of this special field of anaesthesiology and will provide live clinical operating room cases.

La Fe University and Polytechnic Hospital is the reference hospital in the region of Valencia for cardiovascular disease. Created in the early 70s, the hospital moved to its current location in 2011, a brand new building with over 1000-beds.It is ranked among the top 10 hospitals in Spain and  it is a leading institution in all kinds of organ and tissue transplantations.
La Fe University and Polytechnic Hospital has a solid track for research and has been accredited as a Health Research Institute by the Institute of Health Carlos III of the Government of Spain. There are over 50 research teams in the fields of cancer, genetics, transplantation and drug toxicity including both basic and clinical scientists

Unsurprisingly, La Fe University and Polytechnic Hospital were chosen as the public hospital in Spain for having better management and innovation, by the magazine Medical Economics. In addition, its services and staff were granted with awards collected during more than 40 years of history

Valencia City harmoniously combines history and one of the the most innovative and avant-garde buildings erected in the new millennium. Valencia is the hub of trade, culture, cinema, theater, museums, music and business. It is at the cutting edge and center of international design with one of the most active cities for fairs and congresses in Spain.Due to its geographical location, Valencia has the special charm of associated with seaport cities.
