Free subscription.

From January 2008 all EACTA members will receive free subscription to the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia (JCVA). The Directory Board and Representative Counsel consider this to be a very good membership benefit.

As part of this agreement EACTA will also have news pages in each issue of the JCVA and the JCVA is now the official journal of EACTA. We believe that this will have a favourable impact on the possibilities for publishing cardiovascular research for our members. Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia is primarily aimed at anaesthesiologists who deal with patients undergoing cardiac, thoracic or vascular surgical procedures. JCVA features a multidisciplinary approach, with peer-reviewed contributions from cardiac, vascular and thoracic surgeons, cardiologists, and other related specialists.

The impact factor of JCVA is increasing and the cardiovascular research is generally of a high scientific standard and if we all submit our research to the JCVA in the future we could all benefit as the impact factor improves further.

As part of the agreement editors has been appointed after suggestion from EACTA.
