Membership

Membership of EACTA is open to all professionals interested in the field of cardiac, thoracic and vascular anaesthesia and critical care including nurses, perfusionsists and anaesthetic assistants.

There are two types of membership of EACTA available: Full Members and Associates.

Full Members are required to be anaesthesiologists and includes anaesthesiologists in training.
All other applicants will be considered as Associate Members.
EACTA welcomes perfusionists as Associate Members at a special reduced rate.

Benefits of Membership

All members receive the electronic version of the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia (JCVA) (current subscription rate $595 US per year).
Annual three-day scientific meeting
Reduced registration fee at the annual meeting, echo courses and TOE exam (€100 reduction of registration fee for annual meeting).
Basic and advanced courses on trans-oesophageal echocardiography (TOE).
TOE accreditation
Entitlement to apply for Clinical Fellowships and Research Grants.
Reduced registration fees at some other international meetings.

The standard membership subscription EACTA includes only electronic access to the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia. New members as well as members renewing during the year, will be granted electronic access to the Journal as soon as possible after registration. Hard copies of journal are published in February, April, June, August, October and December each year. The journal is advised of the updated membership list every month but please expect 1-2 months before gaining electronic access to the journal.

Members wishing to receive the paper version of the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia will have to pay an additional €60 on top of their annual membership fee. Back issues of the journal are not available.
