Exchange Training Programmes

Are you interested to acquire up-to-date knowledge and technical skills in the perioperative care of patients who undergo thoracic surgery or critically-ill patients undergoing cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery in the Intensive Care Settings?

Do you have a scholarship, educational grant, or can you afford the expenses of your travel, transportations, and accommodations?

If yes, EACTA offers an opportunity for the members of EACTA for

1) Two weeks’ Thoracic Anaesthesia Exchange Training period as an observer at one of the approved host centres which have a high volume of thoracic surgery cases.

2) Four weeks’ Exchange Training period in Critical Care Medicine as an observer at one of the approved host centres which have critical care units with a high volume of critically ill cases.

3) Two-to-four weeks’ Vascular Anaesthesia Exchange Training period as an observer at one of the approved host centres which have a high volume of vascular surgery cases.

Opportunity for Trainees:

The interested trainees to acquire technical skills in the assessment, interpretation of diagnostic tests, monitoring, and care of critically ill patients following cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery could join the EACTA Exchange Training Observership Programme in Critical Care Medicine (CCM).

If yes, EACTA offers an opportunity for the members of EACTA for two weeks’ Thoracic Anaesthesia Exchange Training period as an observer at one of the approved host centres which have a high volume of thoracic surgery cases.
