ECHO Course 2018

3D/4D in clinical practice: standing alone or taking over traditional 2D views?

Dear Colleagues,

It is a great pleasure to invite you all for the EACTA Echo Course 2018 on Perioperative Echocardiography in Athens. The theme of the course for 2018 is based on: “3D/4D in clinical practice: standing alone or taking over traditional 2D views?”

The EACTA ECHO course will be held on June 23rd to June 26th, 2018 at the premises of the Medical School of the University of Athens in Greece.

The aim of this annual Echo Course is to educate Anaesthesiologists/ Surgeons/ Echo cardiographers/ Intensivists for the use of Echo in the Perioperative setting and Intensive care as a valuable and effective tool for safe and better outcomes.

The Scientific Programme follows the pattern of previous Courses: Basic, Advanced, Certification and Hands on Training. The Basic Course will give a concise insight to the fundamentals of echocardiography. The Advanced Course will focus on the use of 3D/4D in the clinical practice by comparing it to the traditional 2D echo. The Certification Course will prepare the candidates for the accreditation exam which will be held in the EACTA Echo Course 2018 for the first time. During the Hands-on course, the attendees will have live experience in cardiac and lung echo monitoring using simulators.

Looking forward to welcoming you in Athens in 2018!
