2nd NYSORA Middle East 2016 International Symposium on Regional Anesthesia, Pain and Perioperative Medicine
To accomplish its educational mission in the Middle East, NYSORA will offer a multitude of highly versatile and focused workshops. These workshops will focus on ultra-sound-guided regional anesthesia techniques and pain medicine ultrasound guided procedures. Delegates will have the opportunity to scan, become familiar with the ultrasound anatomy and practice on a meat-model to develop knowledge of anatomy, ultrasonography and needle maneuvering. The workshops will feature a short review of anatomy upon which the delegates will participate in scanning. 7th Networking World Anesthesia Convention
NWAC is very proud of its loyal following of anesthesiologists from around the world. And NWAC is truly international: we have hosted delegates, faculty and scholars from nearly 100 different countries in the past six years.
NWAC annual convention is the preferred CME event for many colleagues. The friendly, collegial atmosphere, the very high scientific standard and strong practical emphasis of the workshops make it a unique learning experience. As in past years the Educational Scholar Outreach Program (ESOP) will provide NWAC-subsidized scholarships to allow up-and-coming educators, academics and young investigators from the developing world to attend the convention in 2016.
In NWAC style the 2017 program will be a true “Year in Review by Who is Who”. Our expert faculty will discuss the practical aspects of co-morbidities we encounter in our day-to-day practice during interdisciplinary sessions; the didactic sessions will provide updates on the latest developments in various subspecialties. The workshop line up will cover diverse fields such as airway management, regional anesthesia, trauma and ultrasound as a tool for making peri-operative medicine safer.

Human factors underpinning patient safety is the theme of the 2016 EACTA Annual Congress. In recent years, we have learnt that human factors both play an essential role in the safe delivery of patient care and are a major contributor to adverse outcomes. Therefore, the Congress programme will finely focus on ‘human factors engineering’, that is ‘designing the workplace and the equipment in it to accommodate for limitations of human performance’ (WHO Patient Safety Curriculum Guide).
