MD, PhD student (2016); consultant anaesthesiologist; In 2003 she finished residency with Master Exam of Anesthesiology. 2012 she completed fellowship in cardiac and 2014-2016 in pediatric anaesthesia. Since 2004 she's involved mostly in thoracic anaesthesia, responsible for research, education and fellowship in thoracic anaesthesia. Since last year she's active member and promotor of  lung transplant programme in Slovenia. She's  EACTA Thoracic Subcomm member, ESA  and ESPA member, Vice president of SCAIM since 2015. In 2016 an 2017 her motivated team implemented different way of expertise: Joint Meeting of Thoracic Anaesthesiologists and Surgeons for South Eastern Europe.
Thoracic airway, protective ventilation and lung transplantation are her main interests.

EACTA Education Chair and Director at the Board of Directors.Association of Anaesthetists (UK). He has 48 publications in PubMed indexed impacted journals in addition to five book chapters on thoracic anaesthesia and airway management. His research interests include thoracic anaesthesia, one lung ventilation, protective ventilation, airway management, perfusion and cardiopulmonary bypass, haemodynamic monitoring and control, inflammatory response, cardiovascular anaesthesia, obstetric anaesthesia. He stands as a peer reviewer in 10 specialized impacted journals. He works as Associate Editor in the BMC Anesthesiology and Plos One and an Editor in the Saudi Journal of Anaesthesia. He has participated in organizing, instructing and talking in more than 75 national and international scientific events (congresses, symposia and workshops) during the last 5 years.

Federico Piccioni is the Chair of the SIAARTI Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia Study Group. He is member of the EACTA Thoracic committee. She completed her residency in 2009 and was awarded the ESA Fellowship program during her residency (observer at Papworth Hospital, Cambridge, UK for 3 months). She has been in Department of Regional Anesthesia at St Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in New York City for 1 year as a research fellow (NYSORA), and since then has been working in Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation of Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. Her publications and academic career focus on Ultrasound-guided Peripheral Nerve Blocks and she has EDRA. Besides national RA courses; she has also been an instructor in international Cadaver and Ultrasound-guided Peripheral Nerve Block courses (NYSORA Syposiums-New York 2011, Vietnam 2012 and New York 2012, NWAC Meetings-Istanbul 2012 and Bangkok 2013, ESRA-2018 and 2019). She has also been both an EDRA Board member and an examiner.

Full-time professor in the department of anaesthesiology & intensive care of Istanbul Medical Faculty of Istanbul University. After graduating in 1983, he has had his residency and almost all the academic steps in the same school. He has had a scholarship from DAAD, so that he has been several times in different departments in Germany; and lastly also worked as an academician in Magdeburg. Dr Senturk is a thoracic anaesthetist: he is currently the Chair of the thoracic subcommittee of EACTA; is also active in ESA (a former member of the subcommittee of respiration). He has > 40 publications in “web-of-science” journals; he has written several reviews and chapters in books; and  co-edited two books in thoracic anaesthesia. He is the primary investigator of PROTHOR, the biggest clinical trial in thoracic anaesthesia. He is married and has two children.
